| Beijing Jade Bird Huaguang and BNS Enter into Joint Product Development Agreement |
1 January, 2004 - Broadband Network Systems Ltd. (BNS) announced today that it has entered into a joint product development agreement with Beijing Jade Bird Huaguang Sci-Tech Co., Ltd in the areas of digital cable related products including video servers and DVB-C Set-Top-Boxes customized for the China market.
In this agreement, BNS would contribute their expertise in product design, manufacturing and system integration in digital cable related products while Huaguang is responsible for software localization, access to networks and field installation, testing and support.
Dr. Hu Jun, COO of Beijing Jade Bird Huaguang Sci-Tech Co., Ltd said, "We are very excited to have entered into this joint development agreement with BNS. With their product design and manufacturing offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Taipei, we feel that we can achieve cutting edge design with low cost manufacturing and seamless integration with our existing product line."
