Based on revolutionary technology, the BNS Touch is a multimedia ordering system that marries the simplicity of the Internet with the viewing convenience of printed materials.
BNS Touch comprises a pen-like device called The Wiz which is connected to the IPTV set top box (STB) and enables seamless connectivity between printed catalogues or information pages and online information, such as web pages and advertising information which are accessed through the TV screen.

CATALOGUE SHOPPING
Catalogue shopping is popular for its convenience, but a single image sometimes isn't enough to persuade shoppers to buy. BNS Touch offers shoppers a more tangible experience by providing additional information instantly, including video online. This is particularly useful for items traditionally difficult to sell through mail order, such as clothes, cars, cleaning tools, etc.

How it works
The Print and Code
Using sophisticated invisible dot-code printing, BNS Touch does away with bulky and unsightly bar scanning labels. Instead, all information is contained in an extra layer of invisible dot code which is printed on the catalogue and can be recognised within coordinates as small as 2mm square to ensure 100% accuracy.
The Wiz
The dot code information is read by The Wiz, a pen-like device which contains a small infra-red camera with a sensor that transforms the dot-pattern by scanning light reflection through infra-red LED. The Wiz is connected to the IPTV Set Top Box (STB) that provides the online connection to either the operator's servers, or directly to third parties' Internet sites.
Easy to Operate and Secure to Use
The BNS Touch system is very intuitive and easy to learn to operate. Colour codes guide users towards the scan-able areas and the ordering process is simple and fast.
Importantly, the system can be secured through a membership card and pass code that has to be scanned before the system is accessible. This is useful if the system is used in public areas, such as lobbies, or for parental control at home.
Effortless Integration
BNS Touch integrates quickly and seamlessly with existing IPTV systems and is compatible with most set top box brands available in the market today.
Smooth Printing Process
Adding the dot-code to in the normal printing process does not make this form of printing more expensive, even if four or five colour printing is required. What's more, the printing of the invisible layer does not require a special machine - any printer can master the printing process easily.
Printing on Almost Any Surface
The dot-code can be printed on any kind of paper, including coated paper, matte paper and book paper. Even other materials can be used, such as plastics and metal, making BNS Touch available for a wide range of applications.
