Middleware
The middleware is the heart of the IPTV operating system. Our in-house developed Nautilus Middleware is based on open standards and XML, which ensures interoperability with different front end and back end systems. Nautilus's Middleware mediates the communications and transactions between the subscribers with virtually all the IPTV front end and back end systems.
Middleware
is designed to:
- Manage assets and associated metadata
- Define services based on these assets
- Provision the services to subscribers
- Allow "self provisioning" by subscribers
- Provide GUIs so clients can choose services
- Track services and generate billing information based on client consumption
Middleware Back End
The Nautilus's backend provides primarily administration functions, system maintenance and interfaces to service providers' OSS / BSS platforms. Key functions include:
- Multicast / VOD Content Management
- Metadata management
- Subscriber management
- Walled Garden applications maintenance
- Operator / User Maintenance
